HeroPunk(Pre-Alpha)

A mutation on the Regular Cyberpunk 2020 System, HeroPunk is a tabletop setting using superheroes instead of just cybernetics and science fiction elements. 

Around the early 2000s a massive nuclear explosion rocked the earth, the radiation changed the world people live in, becoming a wasteland of mutated plants and animals. These mutations also apply to humans as well, creating people with special powers known as Metahumans. 

20 years later, several cities in the united states have been built as shelter from the outside world. Several megacorporations have grown into power within these cities, each willing to trample over regular people to gain more power. Many metahumans have become superheroes, with the government and corporations giving pay to them to work as bounty hunters. Tech has increased somewhat rapidly, with hypertech becoming a large focus. Criminal underworlds have become a regular sight in these cities, you might not even be able to walk a mile without seeing some activity going down. But this might not matter to you, you like to live on the edge of life, see what you want to see, and City WC is just the place to do so. Get your gun ready, because starting today you're an edgerunner, with a short life and an even shorter itchy trigger.
